Since its founding in 2002, Spintec has led to the creation of four spin-off, based on the Intellectual Property, scientific and technological know-how developed at Spintec. While these companies are independent and totaling over 50 staff, we maintain close links and flow of staff with them, related to research and developments.
Crocus Technology, created in 2006, with headquarters in Santa Clara, California, US, and offices in Grenoble, France. Crocus Technology was created targeting the MRAM market, with strong IP on heat-assisted memory cells. Based on its know-how on spintronic stacks and in particular magnetic tunnel junctions, Crocus Technology now develops and supplies magnetic sensors and embedded memory solutions based on its patented Magnetic Logic Unit™ (MLU) technology.
eVaderis, created in 2014, Grenoble, France. eVaderis has been offering innovative semiconductor IP (architectures) based on embedded NVM or NVRAM (MRAM, RRAM…). The company has been targeting the production of power-miserly and high performance non-volatile memory compilers, logic libraries, MCU subsystems and software, paving the way for new chip design paradigms. eVaderis solutions have been covering diverse market segments: wearable, IoT, mobile, infrastructure targeting low-power data intensives applications. eVaderis stopped its activity in mid 2018.
Hprobe, created in 2017, Grenoble, France. Hprobe offers a unique patented technology of multidimensional magnetic field generator for magnetic devices and sensors wafer level characterization and testing. Each magnetic field spatial axis is driven independently. Applications include planar and perpendicular Magnetic Tunnel Junctions (MTJ), STT-MRAM – SOT-MRAM, TMR sensors, magnetic MEMS.
Antaios, created in 2017, Grenoble, France. Antaios focuses on SOT-MRAM (Spin-Orbit Torque Magnetic Random-Access Memory), a disruptive non-volatile memory technology. As the pioneer and leading company in the field, Antaios is fully engaged to bring SOT technology to the market, offering down the road to its customers and partners a full solution, from the core technology to a fully compiler friendly memory macro. With a unique set of attributes, SOT-MRAM has the potential to replace both embedded SRAM (cache) and embedded Flash (storage) in almost every semiconductor chip, therein solving the critical issue of exploding power requests in advanced semiconductor systems.
