Context: In the frame of different European and French national projects, SPINTEC has several openings for postdoctoral positions. The projects consider memory, microwave and sensor functionalities to develop novel hardware concepts for unconventional computing, to demonstrate wireless communications applications and to develop novel concepts for wide-range magnetic field sensors.
Position: The tasks include nanofabrication of state-of-the-art magnetic tunnel junction devices, whose magnetic stacks will be tailored to the specific spintronic functionalities. This will be followed by intensive device characterization using static and various dynamic magneto-resistance measurement techniques. The characterization will be complemented by theoretical and numerical modelling. Through the projects, the candidate will gain expertise in a large range of experimental techniques and spintronics concepts. The work will be carried out in collaboration between the different SPINTEC teams on Magnetic Memories, RF Spintronics, Artificial Intelligence, Theory/Simulation and Materials/Nanofabrication (www.spintec.fr).
Interested candidates should bring expertise in device fabrication and/or advanced magnetic transport characterization techniques and/or theory/simulation of magnetic properties. For all projects, a good understanding of the magnetization dynamics concerning spin-torque-induced magnetization switching and oscillations will be advantageous.
Contact: Interested candidates should send their CV and a letter of motivation to Ricardo Sousa, Philippe Talatchian, Ursula Ebels and Liliana Buda-Prejbeanu.
